Spinach is an excellent source of Vitamin K, Vitamin A, manganese, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, calcium, and Vitamin C. Spinach is a leafy green flowering plant native to central and western Asia. Spinach is called a superfood because of its high source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that protect your body from a wide range of diseases.

Palak i.e Spinach in English is widely used in the preparation of many Indian dishes like Palak Paratha, Palak Puri, Palak Sev, etc.

The rice dish with the main ingredient Palak makes an excellent single-dish meal. In this particular rice dish along with Palak, I have used Pudina (Mint Leaves), with minimum spices and home-made butter. People of all ages love this dish for its distinctive flavors, mild but tasty. It is easy on the stomach and can be consumed when you feel feverish or your sense of taste is lost, or even when you are in no mood to eat anything heavy.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups Rice (uncooked)

  • 1 cup Milk

  • 3 cups Water

  • ½ bunch Palak (Spinach)

  • 1” Ginger

  • 3 -4 Garlic pods

  • 2 green Chilis

  • 1 cup Mint leaves (Pudina)

  • ½ Tablespoon Salt

  • ½ teaspoon Pepper powder

  • 4 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter homemade

  • Few Ice Cubes while grinding
